A Weekend Trip to Rishikesh- Something to Cherish for a Lifetime

Almost everyone has heard of the popular proverb, “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy”. With no exception, this proverb holds true for everyone, everywhere in the world.

We understand this very well and follows the work-life balance philosophy; that is why at Social Cubicle, fun is a vital part of our work culture. It is not only good for employees but also for the organization to keep its workforce feel rejuvenated and united. And, when it comes heavy dosage of fun, what could be better than a trip to a hill station like Rishikesh - “The adventure capital of India”.

Let us give you a glimpse of our heavenly experience…

It all started on 11th of May. However, it would be unfair to say that it started on 11th of May because discussions on packing bags, getting all the things right, etc., had already started among the employees. After finishing the work on Friday noon, we were all set to board the tourist bus hired by our management for the trip.

As soon as we stepped-in the bus, our excitement was on its peak. All the employees were screaming in joy. As the wheels of the bus started rolling, we all started dancing, singing, and playing games, and munching snacks. It was like a day-light party, that too, on wheels. We all were enjoying the journey.

We finally reached our camping site, the Tip Top Valley, Mohan Chatti, Neelkanth Road, Rishikesh on Friday night. Our camping site was absolutely superb. All the arrangements were taken care of in a great way. We were provided with quite clean and comfortable camps to stay. Bonfire and DJ night made our first night of the trip memorable.

As the first day passed, it was the time for thrilling Saturday. We woke up early in the lap of nature! Rivers flowing along the camping site, chirping birds, and yummy breakfast set the right tone for the day.

Now, it was time for the river rafting - the actual reason behind our trip to Rishikesh. We headed towards the river rafting zone. Our river rafting program began with the interactive session from our guide telling us about all the do’s and don'ts of river rafting. Then, with all the safety precautions, we all were in our boats with our respective groups.

The river rafting commenced from Kaudiyala, which is approx 40 km by the road from Rishikesh. We rafted with different grades of Kaudiyala to Rishikesh including the Marine drive, Shivpuri, Brahmpuri and then the final destination in Rishikesh near Laxman Jhula. This 16 to 18 km of the raft was something beyond imagination.

After the river rafting, we took a short break, had our lunch and headed towards the most famous attraction of Rishikesh - “the Ram Jhula and Laxman Jhula”. After enjoying the panoramic view from Ram Jhula and Laxman Jhula, our group of enthusiastic people explored the Rishikesh local market and finally reached back to the camping site.

Goodbyes are hard to say but are an important aspect of life.

Nobody wanted to go back and leave the beautiful place! But we knew we had to. With all the beautiful memories in hearts, we happily boarded our bus and enjoyed the last thrill of the journey, too.

We thank the SEO Discovery management for managing our trip very well and giving us the opportunity to enjoy such an incredible experience.
